Art Association of Harrisburg

SOAL: Saving Our Ancestors Legacy
Lincoln Cemetery 201 South 30th St.  |  12 pm- dusk

Every third Friday, Saturday & Sunday of the month from March through November, noon til dusk. Come out to explore and help restore Lincoln Cemetery, Harrisburg’s oldest remaining historically Black cemetery. Orientation for first-time volunteers starts at 12pm. Youth and adults of all ages can participate in conservation and preservation work onsite, hands-on workshops, and service learning projects to gain experience in historic building trades, public history research, community-driven archeology, and applied technologies. Volunteers are encouraged to come for a few hours or stay all day, rain or shine. Website
