Q: What kinds of things go on during 3rd in the Burg?

A: A variety of arts and entertainment exhibits, performances, and showcases will take places at venues throughout parts of the city. Live music at some of Harrisburg’s best restaurants and cafes, plus art exhibits at many businesses and galleries provide plenty to take in on the evening.

Q: Where and when does 3rd in the Burg take place?

A: 3rd in the Burg takes place on the 3rd Friday of every month at venues throughout Downtown and Midtown Harrisburg, generally from 6-9 pm.

Q: Do I need to attend the events in any particular order, or make a stop at each venue?

A: Not at all. Pick and choose whatever events you wish to visit.

Q: How can I get a list of participating venues and events for the month?

A: Visit the Venues section for a listing of venues for the month. Please contact individual venues if you'd like more specific event details. 

Q: I have a business/gallery/restaurant/bar that is interested in becoming a 3rd in the Burg venue. How do I get involved?

Q: Does 3rd in the Burg continue during the winter months?

A: Absolutely. 3rd in the Burg is a year-round celebration of the arts in Harrisburg, with dozens of offerings on the 3rd Friday of each month. Summer months may feature outdoor exhibits and performances to take advantage of the good weather, but the fun continues inside during winter as well.

Q: What about parking?

A: Keep in mind that street parking is metered in downtown and midtown Harrisburg until 7 pm. Garage parking is available downtown. Plus, free parking is available at some midtown businesses and at Broad Street Market.
