Via Car
By car, Harrisburg is just two hours from Philadelphia and Baltimore, three hours from New York and Pittsburgh, and within an hour from York, Lancaster, Reading, and Hershey.  You can also use Mapquest or Google Maps if you are looking for detailed, address-to-address driving instructions. 

Via Bus
Harrisburg is served by Greyhound, and the station is located at 4th and Chestnut Streets, about .5 miles from the Capitol complex.  Additionally, there is a Megabus stop at the Harrisburg mall. From there, you can catch a ride into town via Capitol Area Transit (CAT)'s Route 8.

Via Train
Harrisburg is served by Amtrak, and the station is located at 4th and Chestnut Streets, about .5 miles from the Capitol complex. 

Via Appalachian Trail
Harrisburg is near two access points to the Appalachian Trail. This site will talk you through it.

If you're driving yourself, keep in mind that street parking is metered until 7 pm. Free parking is available at some midtown businesses and at Broad Street Market.
